Hey there, lovely soul! I’ve got something on my heart that I’m just itching to share with you.
Have you ever wondered where that incredible power we hear about in church is actually hiding?
Well, let’s dive into a little secret that’s not really a secret at all. It’s all laid out in Acts 4:33:
“And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.”
See, where there’s a whole lot of grace, there’s also a whole lot of power!
Let’s talk about Paul for a sec. When he got up to chat about forgiveness, miracles of healing just started popping up as people soaked in his words.
There’s something downright supernatural that kicks in when folks hear the joyful news that all their sins are wiped clean thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
I’ve got this friend, who shared the most heart-touching story with me. One of the members of his congregation was struggling big time with a habit of watching pornography during his business trips.
Despite throwing every spiritual tool in the book at it, he just couldn’t shake it off. The guilt was eating him alive, and each trip felt like a walk into defeat.
Fast forward three weeks, and would you believe it? He was completely free from that grip!
Now, when he travels, it’s not about muscling through temptation; he rests in the beautiful truth that he’s as righteous as Jesus is, all because of grace.
The more he embraced his righteousness, the weaker that temptation became.
“Awake to righteousness, and do not sin”
(1 Cor. 15:34)!
It’s a clear message: true victory comes through grace, not grit.
And guess what? My Norwegian pastor buddy has another incredible story. A member of his church got healed from being deaf in one ear just by listening to some of my messages.
No hands laid on him, no prayer lines—just the gospel doing its thing, and bam, his hearing was restored! All the glory goes to Jesus, of course.
That’s the raw power of the gospel for you. It’s not just words; it’s the power of God bringing wholeness into our lives (Rom. 1:16).
Sure, we can try to hustle our way through with willpower, but let’s be real—that’s only going to get us so far. The real breakthroughs, the miracles, they start flowing when we soak in the pure, unfiltered gospel.
God’s got this delightfully peculiar way of working through what seems like foolishness—preaching—to heal, save, provide, and deliver anyone who simply believes the gospel (1 Cor. 1:21).
So keep leaning into the gospel. As you do, believing you’re forgiven and righteous through Christ, watch as wholeness unfolds in your life.
I have this deep-down belief that even now, as you’re reading these words, all about Jesus, healing is happening, provision is on its way, and blessings are just pouring out. Keep your heart open, beautiful friend, and let His grace do its work.
