Mathew 6:25 King James Version
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

The journey of life is filled with worries. A business owner must worry about his business not failing, parents must worry about their children getting into trouble, A sportsman must worry about losing, and a bride must worry about having the perfect wedding.
For humans, the list of worries is endless. To make matters worse, today, it is difficult not to worry. We must worry about the economy, the environment, policies, social media, and a host of other things.
What are you going through right now? What is that one thing that has got you so angry and filled with worry? Are you not feeling well? Are you in debt? Are your kids not doing well? Is your family falling apart? Are you finding it difficult at work?
It is hard to know what the future holds in these situations, but don’t worry. You don’t have to be angry at the people around you, God or even yourself. You are probably asking the question – what is the need for living? Why me? Why this so much uncertainty around me?
All these are worth worrying over and even getting angry over. But the truth is will your worry or anger provide a solution to all the issues? No, I don’t think so. Worrying will only make you feel very angry, helpless, and hopeless.

This is what the devil wants. The devil wants you to keep worrying about the things you probably don’t have control over, to keep you sad and gets you blinded to the faithfulness of God.
You may not know it, but you are letting the enemy deceive you and steal your joy. Don’t let him.
Here’s the key: Worry doesn’t get you anywhere. It doesn’t solve your problems; it only wastes your time and leaves you hopeless and helpless. God loves and cares for you.
God thinks about you and wants to make you great. He wants to help you solve your problems. There is no one of your problems that is bigger than what God can solve. You are a child of the Most High God.

The most important creation of God. So, instead of worrying, gladly get down on my knees and talk to God in prayer.
Pray is an expression of faith and trust; it is you telling God that you know He can take care of all your worries. Prayer is a show of humility; it is you telling God that you can’t do it all by yourself and you need help.
Most importantly, prayer is an act, an attitude, and a relationship with God. You speak in prayer, and you also listen in Prayer; it is a two-way communication system provided by God centuries before the advent of the telephone and the internet.
When you pray, be specific; call the worry or problem by name and believe in your heart that God has taken care of it. During my days as an undergraduate, there was a day I was completely broke.

I had no penny in my bank account and nothing to eat. I was worried and angry. Before going to bed that faithful day, I prayed with lots of tears. I told God to take care of me.
Sincerely, I was tired of worrying, all the worries just took all my concentration away from my schoolwork. I didn’t know how God would do it, but after I prayed, I just knew God will take care of me.
The next day, someone I had forgotten that owed me decided to pay up. I got a credit alert. Since that day, whenever worry comes, I just pray and see God in action.
Dearly beloved, God hears our prayers. Whenever we pray, He is always eager to answer because He cares. That means you won’t see it coming, but God in His goodness will turn it all around.

This is not a feel-good statement; it is the reality. God is not a magician, but He knows how to make things happen. Just tell him about it, instead of worrying.
God has promised you His goodness, mercy, favor, blessing, kindness, grace, faithfulness to uphold you through the battles of life.
So, instead of worrying and feeling sad, commune with God and remind Him of promises to take care of you, to guide and guard you, to bless you and keep you and to provide for your daily needs.
